Braemar Project

We were asked to re-design a garden in Braemar, Perthshire, to bring it into line with our clients' recently renovated property.

Sloping steeply from the rear of the property, the existing garden was unfinished and unsuitable for our clients' needs. To accommodate the slope, it was decided to split the garden into two levels - the backdrop for a stylish outdoor design with a charming natural aesthetic.

Our first job was to install a natural stone retaining wall to support a raised lawn area directly outside the property. From there, we built sandstone steps down to the lower level.

The steps were flanked with terraced planting beds on one side and the new lawn area on the other. On the lower level, we laid an Autumn Bronze sandstone patio ideal for entertaining or relaxing.

We also worked on the front of the property, creating a granite chip driveway complete with edging and a plinth. The finished article reflected the building's traditional feel while offering our clients a diverse, attractive garden space.
