Perthshire Project - St Fillans

Working with a proposal from our clients, we were asked to re-design a large rear garden, in St Fillans, Perthshire.

Our brief involved the construction of two levels: an upper lawn area, complete with attractive planting beds, and a lower area which connected every corner of the garden. The property already had a raised patio and lawn - so we needed to clear the existing features before we could begin work.

After clearance, the first job was to re-shape the raised lawn. We began by building a curved retaining wall around the area, using beautiful Denfind stone for a rustic, natural effect.

We used the same materials to create a set of steps up to the lawn area - and for a second set, leading to a secluded seating area in the corner of the garden. We finished the wall and the steps with sandstone coping and then planted the lawn with vibrant meadow grass.

To finish the garden and enhance its beauty, we added planting beds - which promise to lend the space a natural flourish when they begin to bloom!
