Decking Project - Stirling

The primary objective for this project was to create a more usable space at the rear of the property whilst also making the garden lower maintenance.

Consultation & Concept

The rear garden of our client's property was laid mainly to lawn and we were asked to introduce decking to create a variety of areas for entertaining, sitting and relaxing whilst also making the garden lower maintenance.

We constructed a large decked area along the rear of the property and to add interest and shape we created steps down to a stylish lower deck area, surrounded with attractive buff flint gravel.

Garden Features

The design incorporated softwood decking at the patio doors leading to further decked seating area at side of the garage. Glass panel balustrades were used to create a feeling of space and to allow views of the garden.

Steps were formed to lead down to an eye catching lower circular decked area giving the garden character and visual impact.

Gravel was used to cover the lower level for easy maintenance and to allow for specimen planting. A base for an attractive pizza oven was constructed and a wood store built alongside.

Completed Project

This plain back garden was transformed into a modern user friendly space from which to enjoy the outdoors.

Garden furniture was carefully chosen for each of the different seating areas to make the most of the new spaces for relaxing and entertaining.

Interesting plants add pops of colour whilst mature trees were retained to give height and privacy.
